Bar examination
Rules of examination
- This examination is open book. Candidates may consult the Code, court rules, course materials, and their own notes. References in the questions open the cited law in a separate tab.
- All answers shall be the candidate’s own work. Assistance from another person, shared answers, and answers generated by artificial intelligence are prohibited.
- Enter your username before starting. Each new examination draws 10 questions from a bank of 100. No access code is required to begin.
- Answer all 10 questions: five multiple-choice questions, two written responses, one case scenario, and two true-or-false questions. Select one answer for each objective question. Written answers shall state the governing law and apply it to the facts presented.
- The examination is worth 100 points: multiple choice, 30; true or false, 10; written responses, 15 each; case scenario, 30. A final score of 75% or higher is required to pass.
- Answers save automatically while you work. There is no overall time limit, but 30 minutes without activity ends the active session. After closing or reloading this tab, or after a timeout, obtain a continuation code from the Judge Advocate General through the Corps’ Discord server. Resuming preserves the same questions and saved answers.
- Only the Judge Advocate General may inspect answers and record grades. Written portions must be graded before a final result is issued. No preliminary score constitutes a pass.
- Answers cannot be changed after submission. An unfinished examination must be resumed before another may be started under the same username.
- Passing the examination does not itself confer certification or admission to practice. Such authority requires the prescribed approval and entry upon the appropriate record.
Use your own device. Wait for “All answers saved” before leaving. Keep any continuation code private; it expires after seven days and permits one resumed session.
